The fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke SOHC engine gives you punchy, free-revving performance and high-rpm horsepower, that means you'll be just at home on the city streets or twisty back roads. The addition of a 6-speed gearbox ensures that you're always on the power.
Full-size Supermoto design
To ensure that you get the most machine for your money, the WR125X comes with a full-size Supermoto design that gives it the physical presence of a much higher-capacity bike. Finished in Yamaha's radical, distinctive, next-generation styling, it's a bike that guarantees to turn heads at every stoplight.
To get the most from a bike, you need to know you have complete control. The WR125X Supermoto runs with 17 inch front and rear wheels fitted with sticky sports tyres that deliver high levels of traction. A massive, 140-section rear tyre gives the WR125X serious big-bike looks and outstanding cornering.
When you're riding, telescopic forks at the front and swingarm with link-system suspension at the rear take the worst bumps out of your ride. The lightweight braking system keeps unsprung weight low, for super-responsive suspension on all types of terrain.
Large disc brakes for total confidence
The WR125X's combination of punchy engine and Supermoto style begs for you to test its limits. For the perfect braking combination - strong stopping power combined with plenty of feel - the WR125X uses ø 298 mm front and ø 220 mm rear disc brakes.
You choose a Yamaha as much for its pedigree as its performance. The footpegs on the WR125X are a nod to our multiple MX World Championship-winning heritage, and have been developed from our off-road race bikes. The lightweight design offers plenty of support and grip for the sole of the boot, which is particularly important when riding off road.
125cc power. Pure Yamaha design
At Yamaha, we don't see smaller engine capacity as a limiting factor. We see it as a challenge. That's why our 125cc models deliver performance and style unlike any other bikes in their class.
Whether you want a punchy run-around for the city streets, a rugged off-road machine for weekends in the wild, or a classically-styled cruiser complete with teardrop tank and high bars, you'll find it in the 125cc range.
Each bike is shot through with the DNA of its larger-capacity brothers, from the responsive handling to the torque-packed engine and lightweight frame: all the rider-focused features that you expect from a Yamaha.
