Monster Energy Yamaha will welcome former Grand Prix winner and current Australian MX1 Motocross Championship contender Billy Mackenzie back to the throes of the FIM series this weekend. Monster Energy Yamaha's Steven Frossard will learn the extent of an injury to his right knee after an accident while training yesterday. The luckless 26 year old fell while negotiating a corner after a mini-whoops section at a private track in southern France and it was only upon resuming his training session in preparation for his home Grand Prix next weekend that Frossard felt discomfort in his right leg.

Yakhnich Yamaha Motorsport rider Sam Lowes delivered a perfect performance at Donington last weekend to take his third consecutive World Supersport victory aboard the Yamaha YZF-R6. The young British rider made his intentions clear for his home race from the start of the weekend, taking his third consecutive pole of the season, his ninth career pole, with a new record - 1'30.276s - Best Lap of the Donington Park circuit.
