Following reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo's stunning victory in Barcelona at the weekend the Yamaha Factory Racing Team have concluded two days of successful testing. The Monday test at the Catalunya circuit immediately following the race was followed by a move to Aragon by the Team and a further day of testing today. Riders Lorenzo and Rossi worked through a number of set up changes along with the testing of a new Bridgestone tyre.
Yamaha Motor Europe will continue as an 'Official Supplier of TOYOTA Racing' for the 2013 season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The agreement will see Yamaha providing 16 Yamaha EC-03 electric (2-wheeler) vehicles for team mobility. Yamaha will also supply two ATV machines to the team. Monster Energy Yamaha will welcome former Grand Prix winner and current Australian MX1 Motocross Championship contender Billy Mackenzie back to the throes of the FIM series this weekend. Monster Energy Yamaha's Steven Frossard will learn the extent of an injury to his right knee after an accident while training yesterday. The luckless 26 year old fell while negotiating a corner after a mini-whoops section at a private track in southern France and it was only upon resuming his training session in preparation for his home Grand Prix next weekend that Frossard felt discomfort in his right leg.
