My Kando story started in the summer of 2005.

I had a job interview so I reported myself at the receptionist. I remember that I found out I was parked in the wrong area, in the staff parking place, whereas I actually had to park at the visitors part. I apologized to the receptionist and she said: “No worries, you are already a part of the family”. That gave me already so much Confidence, so my interview went well and I was hired by Yamaha Motor Europe (Parts & Accessories division).

During my career at Yamaha I also learned new things through my own trials. Take for instance the MT-07, to which I could not find the start button the first time (Note: I am from a generation, which had a choke and analog speedometers on motorcycles)…Or when my colleague pressed some buttons and advised me to go on sport mode on the TMAX and experienced Innovation during my own riding experiences.

In my previous jobs I had never had the chance to visit the biggest European Motor show, EICMA in Milan, but in 2019 I joined the event team and my responsibility was to organize the EICMA show. Working directly with a great team to achieve the best result, Excitement was the drive for years.

Ties for me is related to my colleagues, colleagues of Branches, Distributors, Dealers. In the end, it is our cooperation that makes our work enjoyable.

During PEDM (Pan-European Dealer Meeting) I was a part of Turkish group (see picture) and their dealers welcomed me immediately, since ultimately we all have one thing in common and that is to make the customer happy.

Another Kando memory is when I experienced off-roading during the 50th Anniversary event of Yamaha Motor Europe, but I was too small to handle the unit. I had to drop myself to the ground in order to get off and my colleagues immediately helped me out.

Emotion is the reason I choose Yamaha.

You choose for the products, the company, the environment.

When I Introduced myself to colleagues, I explained to them that my plan was to work here at least for the coming 30 years, take a side step and then retire. People are still laughing about it, but why not, if it makes me happy and touches my heart.
