The Route
The Route
Continents: Europe & Africa
Route: from the North Cape (NordKappz, Norway) to the Cape of Good Hope (Cape Town, South Africa)
Distance: 23.000 km
Riders: Laurent Cochet & Amaury Baratin
Special fact:
Europe was despatched quickly beneath the wheels of their Yamaha Ténéré 700 machines, as were the Maghreb countries of North Africa that are well known to motorcycle adventurers, to allow them to spend more time in the countries less frequently travelled by motorcycle. Their main objectives were the countries of Guinea, Ivory Coast, Togo, Nigeria, Gabon, Congo and Angola, where they shared some epic moments in a unique environment. Although Laurent and Amaury's trip was curtailed by Covid-19 and the gradual closing of borders in Africa, the adventure didn't end when the wheels stopped turning. After several months stranded in Angola, the two Ténéré 700 motorcycles used by the intrepid duo were repatriated to France.
