Yamaha Niken Performing in front of Tour de France's millions of fans

The official support vehicle at the world's most prestigious cycling races

Covering Europe's three largest cycling Grand Tours - as well as a number of other regional cycling races - Yamaha's 3-year partnership with ASO (for Tour de France and La Vuelta) and RCS for Giro d' Italia) reflects the company's passion for sport and competition, and is the perfect occasion to demonstrate the multi-role all-weather and terrain versatility of the revolutionary NIKEN.

NIKEN's vital role at the 2019 Tour de France

Having proved already their outstanding capabilities as official support vehicles at the recent Giro d'Italia, the team of NIKEN motorcycles will be seen by millions of fans and TV viewers at the forthcoming Tour de France throughout the entire 21 stage, 3.460 kilometre race.

Responsible for everything from medical assistance through to the supply of drinks and nutritional supplements - as well as cycle tyre and wheel changing for competitors - ASO's team of NIKEN riders will be playing a vital role in this prestigious sporting event.

Pushing the boundaries

In the same way that cycling is always evolving and pushing the boundaries, so too is Yamaha constantly innovating and looking to add a new dimension to the motorcycling experience. Featuring a 3-wheel chassis, the NIKEN is a unique revolutionary machine that offers supreme long distance comfort together with outstanding cornering and braking confidence on winding roads - making it the ideal official support vehicle for the wide variety of challenging terrain and changing weather conditions experienced during the Tour de France.

The 106th edition of the legendary Tour de France starts in Brussels on July 6th and finishes in Paris on July 28 th, and race fans can find up to the minute information on each stage by following Yamaha's social media channels.

Yamaha's partnership with ASO and RCS covers all the Grand Tour events for the next three years, and the NIKEN will also be supporting the forthcoming La Vuelta from 24th August - 15th September, as well as many other major cycling events in Belgium, France, Italy, and Spain.
