    Smart Key System

    NMAX is one of the most sophisticated scooters in the class, and it comes with Yamaha’s Smart Key system as standard equipment. As long as you have the Smart Key with you in a pocket or bag this keyless system allows you to turn your NMAX on, saving time and making the whole process much simpler and more convenient. No more messing around looking for conventional keys in a dark car park at night!

    High rigidity frame

    Hidden away behind the dynamic bodywork the high rigidity frame plays a key role in making the NMAX one of Yamaha’s best performing urban commuters. It features a large 7.1-litre fuel tank located in the centre tunnel to give a balanced weight distribution for excellent manoeuvrability. The chassis and bodywork provide a comfortable riding position with increased wind protection and reduced noise.

    Traction Control System

    NMAX comes with a Traction Control System that gives you a more confident ride on loose or slippery surfaces such as wet cobblestones or tramlines. When the TCS senses that any rear tyre slippage is about to happen it momentarily reduces drive to the rear wheel so that the tyre maintains traction – allowing you to ride confidently in varying weather and road surface conditions.

    Start & Stop

    By riding such an economical scooter you’re already helping to lessen your carbon footprint, and to further reduce urban pollution and minimize fuel consumption the NMAX is equipped with a Start & Stop system that cuts in when you come to a stop at traffic lights or in congested streets. When the lights go green just release the brakes and twist the throttle and the EURO5 engine starts immediately.

    Underseat storage space

    As well as being Yamaha’s sportiest and most dynamic 125cc scooter in the Urban Mobility class, the NMAX also has a practical side that makes it the ideal companion for work and play.     Connected LCD instruments

    This premium yet affordable urban scooter is equipped with high-tech LCD instruments that are linked to the CCU. As well as showing speed, distance, fuel level and temperature, this connected display is linked to the CCU and features icons that will light up and notify you of incoming calls, emails and SMS messages – as well as displaying your smartphone’s battery status.

    Front and rear disc brakes with ABS

    The NMAX’s premium specification includes a powerful braking system featuring a 230mm front disc and 230mm rear disc that give you plenty of smooth and controllable stopping power – and the ABS system prevents accidental wheel lock-ups that can happen if you apply excessive brake pressure while riding on loose or slippery surfaces.
