The 2010 Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré was launched as an all-new Adventure model, ready to explore the world.
Some of its highlights:
Twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled 1200cc engine with 270 degree crank offset for linear torque with a nice ‘pulse’ and sound; Compact steel frame and low center of gravity for excellent handling;
Electronic control systems like YCC-T with D-mode and traction control for a precise throttle response; High-grade and fully adjustable suspensions that provide excellent roadholding and comfort; Great brakes with precise dosage and including ABS and UBS; Spoke wheels and tubeless tyres; and a 23-litre fuel tank for long-range autonomy.

The first edition featured extra equipment like sidecases, an aluminium engine protector skid plate and a headlight protector.
An extra colour is introduced for 2011.
In addition to the standard Super Ténéré, Yamaha launches the ‘Worldcrosser’ version which is fitted with beautifully-finished carbon components like the new sidepanels with aluminium mesh in the air
vents, frame guards, and fork protectors. There are also additional aluminium parts: the rugged engine skid plate, a drive shaft shield and rear brake protector.
Please note that sometimes optional extra’s such as the Akrapovic exhaust, the fog light kit and offroad tyres are included in the photos of the Worldcrosser version.
