Interest in motorcycles and cars has been around for as long as he can remember. Already as a four year old, Carlphilip started with motocross and when he got his first moped he started to disassemble to explore and learn more. In addition to the Vehicle education program, he is more or less self-taught, but in recent years
he has supplemented with Yamaha's education.
Since 2013 he has been working at Yamaha Center Västerås. Carlphilip mean that the Scandinavian Technician Grand Prix win was unexpected, but that he looks forward to the European finals in Amsterdam in March 2020.
- I was very surprised, but it feels fantastically fun! I had no thoughts whatsoever of winning when I was competing, I was especially curious to put my knowledge to the test. It feels both exciting and nerve-wracking to do the same in practice - and in front of audiences - in the European finals as well, says Carlphilip

The Scandinavian Technician Grand Prix consists of two theoretical qualification rounds where all silver-certified Yamaha technicians have been given the opportunity to represent Scandinavia in the next part, the European Technician Grand Prix. There, representatives from 17 European countries meet to compete
for a place in the final, the World Technician Grand Prix, in Japan.
