    The V MAX SHO 115hp features Yamaha's advanced 1.8 litre, 4-cylinder, 4-stroke engine, with 16-valves and double-overhead cam (DOHC) layout. Put simply, the result is better breathing - for better combustion and performance across the power spectrum. The V MAX SHO 115hp powerhead design is based on Yamaha’s proven four-stroke technology, so quiet reliability is assured.

    Lighter weight pays dividends

    Yamaha’s engineering team has been focusing on reducing weight – not only by reducing all unnecessary metal on the engine, but also by developing a lighter lower pan and cowling in composite materials, a single-ram power trim and tilt mechanism and a lighter mounting bracket.

With its 35 Amp capacity, it even has the power to charge your batteries at trolling speed. That’s called peace of mind – and you can expect it when you own a Yamaha.

    Compatibility with a wide range of gauges

    The very latest technology is incorporated in our models, so the V MAX SHO 115hp is compatible with a very wide range of Yamaha’s exclusive digital control systems and gauges, from 6Y8 up to the newest CL5/CL7 gauges and displays. So when it comes to having clear, accurate engine data and performance information to help you run the boat, Yamaha systems are unmatched.

    Variable Trolling RPM (option)

    Trolling speed adjustment from 550-1000 RPM in 50 RPM increments. Ideal for fishing or when navigating waterways, marinas or speed limit areas. Trolling speed can be set to 200 RPM below idle speed. This function is only available when the engine is equipped with Yamaha's Multi-Function Tiller Handle, the 6Y8 or CL5/7 digital display or the new remote switch.

    Wide range of SDS propellers

    This dedicated range of propellers has been developed to complement the wide-ranging Yamaha outboards family and to help you fine-tune the engine/boat performance to fit your personal preferences. Many propellers within the range feature Yamaha’s exclusive Shift Dampener System (SDS®) which considerably reduces the normal noise and brings smoother, quieter shifting.

    The V MAX SHO models are compatible with our exclusive Y-COP® (Yamaha Customer Outboard Protection) security system.
