A Kando moment that has stayed and will stay with me for a long time was in-between two Yamaha events planned 3 days apart from each other (Cannes and Genoa boat show in 2019). It was decided to also do a photo shooting with this boat and powerful outboard engines during those three days.

The Cannes boat show was extremely hectic – had to provide many guests a good and safe test ride. The boats themselves had to be at the next show in one piece, which can be logistically complicated to some extent.

Knowing that in Genoa awaits the same business as in Cannes and that at the photo shooting I had to drive the boat in meticulous yet safe ways, you may just imagine how photo soothing this moment was. 

I felt on top of the world...at the crack of dawn, perfect seas, peace and calm, driving a 50 feet (15 m) rib, powered with four Yamaha F425A XTO’s summing up to 1700hp.

That mixture of serenity, joy and excitement still gives me goose bumps.

What else could I wish for?
