Manager, Marine Sales
An exciting and rare opportunity has become available at our UK branch office in Woking, Surrey to join our Management Team leading the Marine Sales area of the business.
The successful candidate will report directly to the UK Country Manager as well as other members of the Senior Management Team when and as required. The Marine Sales department consists of three other team members who nurture the sales and growth opportunities around the UK and this current vacancy involves leading that team to successfully achieve the targets required to sustain our dominant presence in the markets for our outboard, waverunner, boat and other related water mobility products.
We are the UK branch of Yamaha Motor Europe, so liaising and building relationships with colleagues at our head office in Amsterdam is essential to be able to strategise effectively for the UK business. Although you will be primarily office based, this role will mean some infrequent travel to the Netherlands for short business trips as well as nationwide visits to dealers and commercial partners where the need or opportunities arise.
Being at a managerial level within the company, you would be expected to actively participate in monthly managers meetings and contribute to all areas of the business to ensure the company’s continued success. It would also be an expectation for the successful candidate to lead regular marine sales meetings and motivate those around you to grow the business.
Our brand and customer experience is of upmost importance and it is a responsibility at all levels within our company to maintain these to a high standard. For the Manager, Marine Sales you will be expected to encourage and ensure standards at this level throughout an established dealer network and ensure that any Yamaha franchised visual identity is embraced with full commitment within our marine business partnerships.
We are looking for a driven and proactive individual who has good leadership skills with some experience in sales and creating related strategies.
The successful candidate will need to be able to adapt to those around them to achieve positive business relationships and cooperation.
