Cabscreens Crescent Yamaha’s Dan Thornhill Mounts 2022 EMX Open Class Challenge

Yamaha Motor UK supported rider Dan Thornhill is to compete in the EMX Open Class for this weekend only, at Matterley Basin.

Following on from a strong 2021 performance with Cab Screens Crescent Yamaha on his race prepared YZ450F, winning the Pro Class title in the Bridgestone British Masters and racking up numerous top ten finishes in both the MX Nationals and British ACU MXGB championship, Dan has set his sights on EMX Open Class glory.

His entry into the British GP Open Class for the first round of the 2022 MXGP Championship comes after a pre-season of successful physical training and an impressive 11th overall finish at Hawkstone International – despite overcoming multiple challenges on track.

Dan is riding with total confidence, and is more than up to the challenge of racing against some of the best. Here’s what he had to say:

“” [I’m] Really looking forward to head to Matterley this weekend for the British GP in the EMX Open Class. After some positive riding at Hawkstone, I’m looking to keep the ball rolling on my Cab Screens Crescent YZ450F and build up more race time. Thanks to everyone who makes this possible!”
