Yamaha Motor Europe forges a new 5-year outboard engine supply agreement with the Italian boat builder Salpa Nautica

Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to announce the latest agreement with internationally recognized boat builder: Salpa Nautica. A partnership which will see the manufacturer supply outboard engines to Salpa Nautica for a variety of the shipyard’s popular vessels over the next five years.

30 years after the company’s inception and eight years after entering the RIB market, Salpa Nautica has increasingly innovated on the popular RIB and open boat hulls, which has driven a boost in both production and turnover. Today’s lineup includes the New Avantgarde 35 and RIBs, ranging from 42 to 18 feet and 850 to 40 horsepower. In particular, the outboard engines in use include the XTO 425hp V8 and V6 engines in the Premium segment, a wide range of the High-Power segment (200hp – 90hp) and the 40hp Supreme, running the gambit to suit each model’s unique needs.

Antonio Pane, Managing Director of Salpa Nautica explains: ‘While this new agreement is certainly exciting, it marks only our latest venture together, continuing a decades-old partnership that has always meant great satisfaction for our stakeholders as well as our customers.'

‘Today’s announcement marks the next leg of our shared journey, which will see Yamaha Motor Europe provide the Neapolitan shipyard with the finest technology in marine propulsion systems, such as Helm Master EX control and the Premium range of Outboard engines. Customers taking delivery of Salpa Nautica boats with Yamaha propulsion are in for a treat,’ commented Fabrice Lacoume, Marine Director at Yamaha Motor Europe.
