Certification YTA-bronze Bronze: To be awarded this certification, a technician must
1) Have worked for an approved Yamaha dealer as a technician for at least one year.
2) Have attended training at Yamaha. Its duration depends on the technical entry level of the technician.
3) Show accurate knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, electrical and chassis components, correct use of tools and measuring instruments, pre-operation checks and maintenances. 

Certification YTA-silver Silver: To be awarded this certification, a technician must
1) Have worked for an approved Yamaha dealer as a YTA Bronze technician for at least two years.
2) Have attended the full factory -developed YTA Silver training course including Hands-on training days at Yamaha.
3) Show advanced knowledge of 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines, electrical and chassis components, basic knowledge of trouble-shooting Yamaha technology and be able to accurately identify the cause of component failures. 

Certification YTA-gold Gold: To be awarded this certification, a technician must
1) Have worked for an approved Yamaha dealer as a YTA Silver technician for at least two years after gaining his Silver award.
2) Have attended the full factory -developed YTA Gold training course including Hands-on training days at Yamaha.
3) Show advanced system knowledge and trouble shooting of the Yamaha technology, be able to direct workflow and quality-check repaired machines.
