Through the years many Yard Built projects have been presented on stages world wide – ranging from very complicated builds to lighter adaptations. The new XSR125 gave a new take on how you can modify a bike – not only for the sake of modifying – but also with a greater purpose. A method that serves a special goal, set by its owner. We call that the Yard Built for Free Spirits – where not the build nor builder is the centerpiece, it is the eventual owner and rider of the bike.
Whatever his or her purpose, the motorcycle must be optimized for their needs.

The latest stage of the Yard Built for Free Spirits project took us to Italy to meet Alteria, a rock singer, DJ, and radio personality who felt the need to express herself and show the world her personality from an early age. It was this inner drive that led her to start singing rock music at 16 and get on stage. That's also what made her ride a motorbike for the very first time.
“Rock and motorcycles are inseparable. And I’ve always dreamed of riding a motorcycle. When I was able to realize this dream a few years ago, it was an important moment, a demonstration of strength and independence, which gave me a boost to start over again after a very difficult time in my life."
Her XSR125 represented just that: a rebirth, even in an "Imperfect Life," as the bike's customizer Oscar Tasso wrote on the exhaust pipe in reference to Alteria's latest album. Oscar Tasso’s design is centered around red and black colors to give this XSR125 a rock soul and a passionate spirit, just like that of Alteria.
In this customized design, the exaltation of forms recalls the harmony of music and the desire to demonstrate a strong character: the character of those who choose to be the protagonist of their lives.
For her daily rides between radio studios, rehearsal rooms and writing sessions for her new songs, Alteria dreamed of having a lightweight, versatile bike with a distinctive design.
Modifications were primarily made to the front fairing, to the exhaust system, and to the new and refined seat cover. The rims were also repainted. Furthermore, dedicated graphics and modifications were made to the most evident aesthetic elements, such as arrows, mirrors, the tail fairing and the optical group.
