General FAQs


  • Is there a warranty on the YAMAHA items?

    Faulty or malfunctioning products can be returned within 12 months of receipt. Warranty for apparel is 12  months, for accessories 12 months and for parts 12 months. There are however exceptions to this rule [insert link].

  • Ownership of Goods

    You own the goods once we have received payment in full for them and they have been delivered to you.

  • What is your ordering process? (see video)

    There are six steps in the
    ordering process:

    Step 0:

    Start the online order:

    The order is started in the Internet screen where the customer selects the desired items by clicking “Add to cart” and then starts the online ordering process by clicking the “Proceed to payment” button. The customer sees a summary of all the items in the shopping cart and the individual and total prices under “Your order”. The number of items can be changed, they can be deleted from the shopping cart or moved to the wish list. The ordering process is continued by clicking “Proceed to payment”.


    Step 1:

    Customer account / guest login:

    If the customer already has a Personal account / guest login with the YAMAHA online shop all they have to do is enter their username and password in the following screen after pressing “Proceed to payment”. The customer goes directly to step 3 by clicking “Login”. If the customer does not have a Personal account / guest login yet they have the option of setting up a Personal account / guest login. After entering the required data in the registration screen they can then continue with the order. 


    Step 2:

    Address options:

    The customer then has to provide the data required for processing (title, first name, surname, street, house number, postal code, city, country, phone number,
    email address, delivery options and method of payment). As a registered customer there is the option of checking the stored billing address and delivery address and adapting it as required. If the ordered goods are to be shipped to a different delivery address then the billing address, a current address can be edited or a new address can be added. 


    Step 3:

    Shipping options:

    The customer can choose between a) delivery at home, b) a different delivery address or c) delivery at a YAMAHA MOTOR authorized dealership, all of them in the Netherlands. Delivery at a dealership is always free of charge for transportation costs. 


    Step 4:

    Payment options:

    You can pay online with payment methods such as credit and debit card.


    Step 5:

    Order summary/Change order:

    An order summary shows the complete order with all the contract details. The customer has the option of making changes by clicking “Edit” in the individual sections (shipping and billing address, payment method, shipping option, shopping cart) or cancelling the order by closing the browser window. 


    Step 6:

    Order confirmation:

    The message “Thank you for your order” is displayed once the order has been successfully placed. Shortly afterwards the customer receives the order confirmation by email.

  • Can I also buy or order the YAMAHA items offline?

    You can also buy the items from your YAMAHA dealer nearby. If something is not in stock, the dealer will be happy to order it for you.

  • Is there a return policy?

    Ordered goods may be returned within 30 days of receiving the goods. To comply with the time limit, it is sufficient that the goods are sent to us in good time. Returning one or multiple goods does require a reason and can be explained by completely filling in the return form. The return form is included in the original box delivered and can also be downloaded in the web shop [insert link].

    On the return form you need to add your original order and parcel number. These can be found in the e-mail order confirmation and on the invoice. Both numbers are required.

    Please add your original parcel number on top of the order number. In case of doubt, the original parcel number can also be found on the parcel itself.

  • How can I find out whether my order has been placed on the Yamaha web shop?

    As soon as we have received your order, a written order confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided to us. Generally the order confirmation will be with you within a few minutes.

  • What can I do in the event of defects or any other complaints?

    You can make complaints and assert warranty claims by calling or mailing the YAMAHA web shop customer support . They will provide you with additional information on how to handle this issue.
