Yamaha Motor UK Japan Appeal

<p>On 11 March, Japan was struck by the biggest earthquake in its history, measuring a massive 8.9 on the Richter scale. The earthquake struck 250 miles northeast of Tokyo and triggered a tsunami with seven metre waves, which swept away everything in its path</p> <p>The earthquake lasted two minutes and was followed by strong aftershocks with magnitudes between 6.4 and 7.1. Japanese police have so far confirmed 1,597 deaths, but this is expected to rise significantly. </p> <p> The disaster triggered fires and caused severe damage to buildings, leaving more than five million homes without electricity and a million without water. </p> <p> Yamaha Motor UK are helping the British Red Cross raise money to help all those who have been affected by the disaster in Japan.<p>
