Yamaha Motor UK is very pleased to make the following statement in regard to maintaining its Official Partnership status with the Isle of Man TT, as well as confirming the attendance of the Milwaukee Yamaha team and its riders Ian Hutchinson and Josh Brooks.

‘Yamaha takes exceptional pride in its racing history and the Isle of Man TT is a crucial part of its heritage. In addition, Yamaha UK's position as an Official Partner to the Isle of Man TT is also very important to the brand and its racing programme both now and in the future.

Over the past 12 months, Yamaha UK has also forged a solid partnership with Shaun Muir Racing (SMR) and the team's title sponsor Milwaukee UK and this strong relationship has been rewarded with continued podium success both on track and on the roads.

Despite the well-publicised feelings of both the team and its title sponsor towards the changes in the technical regulations for the Superbike class at the this year’s TT, Yamaha UK has instigated very close discussions with both partners and therefore we are very pleased to announce that SMR will race at this year’s TT with the full support of Milwaukee UK and Yamaha. This is of course not only great news for team and its partners, but fantastic news for TT fans, as they will now get to see multiple TT winner Ian Hutchinson and returning rookie Josh Brooks, battling for the top of the podium after all.’
