Q1: What are the service intervals for Yamaha Generators?

The current service intervals are as follows:
First Service - 1 month or 20 hours (whichever is soonest)
Then - every 3 months or 50 hours (whichever is soonest)
Then - every 6 months or 100 hours (whichever is soonest)
Then - every 12 months or 300 hours (whichever is soonest)

Q2: What is the warranty period for Yamaha Generators?

All of our generators are supplied with a 24 month warranty.

Q3: Do I have to take my Yamaha product back to the selling dealer for warranty repairs?

No - although perhaps advisable, any authorised Yamaha dealer for that particular model, is able to carry out warranty repairs.

Q4: Is it possible to extend the factory supplied warranty on a Yamaha product?

The duration of the warranty is fixed and we regret that no extension is currently available.

Q5: How do I make a warranty claim?

If you experience a problem with your Yamaha motorcycle/marine/power product which you believe should be dealt with under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, please promptly contact your Yamaha dealer to arrange for the motorcycle/marine/power product to be inspected and any claim assessed.
All claims under warranty must be submitted on your behalf through an authorised Yamaha dealer. We regret that we are unable to accept warranty claims directly from owners.
