Q1: How can I get a replacement Owner’s Manual for my Yamaha ATV?

Owner's manuals for current Yamaha models can normally be ordered through a Yamaha dealer (please remember to have details of your machine’s VIN (frame/chassis) number available so that they may be able to identify the correct manual).

Q2: Where is my Yamaha ATV's Vehicle Identification NUmber (VIN) located?

On ATV’s the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is located on the frame near the left-hand footrest.

Q3: What fuel should I use in my Yamaha ATV?

All Yamaha ATV's are designed to operate on regular unleaded petrol.

Q4: Are any of Yamaha's range of ATV's road legal?

Yes. ATV designated WVTA (Whole Vehicle Type Approval) are homologated for registration and have European approval. Contact your local Authorized Yamaha dealer .

Q5: What is the warranty period for Yamaha Leisure ATV's?

Leisure ATV - 12 mths unless for competition use (3 months)

Q6: Do I have to take my Yamaha product back to the selling dealer for warranty repairs?

No - although perhaps advisable, any authorised Yamaha dealer for that particular model, is able to carry out warranty repairs.

Q7: Is it possible to extend the factory supplied warranty on a Yamaha product?

The duration of the warranty is fixed and we regret that no extension is currently available.

Q8: How do I make a warranty claim?

If you experience a problem with your Yamaha ATV which you believe should be dealt with under the terms of the manufacturer’s warranty, please promptly contact your Yamaha dealer to arrange for the ATV to be inspected and any claim assessed.
All claims under warranty must be submitted on your behalf only through an authorised Yamaha dealer. We regret that we are unable to accept warranty claims directly from owners.

Q9: What are the service intervals for Yamaha ATV's?

The current service intervals are as follows:
First Service - 1 month / 200 miles / 20 hours (whichever is soonest)
Then - initial 3 months / 800 miles / 80 hours (whichever is soonest)
Then - initial 6 months / 1600 miles / 160 hours (whichever is soonest)
Thereafter - every 6 months / 1600 miles / 160 hours (whichever is soonest)
